In Episode 4 of Reparations Radio, DJ Reezy and Kadira connect Labor Day to the unfinished question of reparations: What is owed when generations of labor were taken without fair compensation?

The conversation begins with the story of Belinda Sutton, a formerly enslaved woman who petitioned Massachusetts for compensation connected to decades of forced labor. From there, the hosts examine land, inherited wealth, intellectual property, Black cultural production, and the different forms reparatory justice can take.

Joined by Ace Holistics and Club Tonic, the episode also expands the idea of repair beyond compensation—exploring rest, wellness, community, nutrition, and reclaiming control over our time and bodies.

The episode asks listeners to consider both sides of repair: What are we owed for the labor of previous generations, and what can we begin restoring for ourselves today?
